$26m Budget Includes Ahs, Ajhs Projects

ABQ celebrates technology and innovation | Albuquerque Journal News

1. The budget calls for $24,441,456 in revenue in the general fund and $26,600,727 in expenditures. Superintendent John Mullins said there are several reasons for the increase in expenditures, including an increase in personnel, particularly at the high school. Theres an influx of children with autistic tendencies across the country, and that includes here in Arab where our special education personnel also have increased, he said, but were also trying to increase programs, including the arts. Mullins said a full-time choral teacher is at the junior high for the first time, and introduction to theater is also being offered. But, Mullins said, the biggest expenditure will be two capital projects that will start in 2015. An additional shop for the agriculture department will include separate areas for woodworking and welding, and a six-classroom addition at the junior high are expected to cost about $3 million. <br>For the original version including any supplementary images or video, visit http://www.thearabtribune.com/articles/2014/09/05/news/news2.txt

YOLO Winery – Vintner opens new chapter with Dover winery - News - Times Reporter - New Philadelphia, OH

One resident likens the daily flow to precious jobs in Newark, Zanesville, Lancaster and Columbus as a NASCAR race. Politically speaking, Perry County is a lot like other southeastern Ohio counties where the partisan balance is fairly even but you find few liberals. And discontented voters often turn against the statewide candidate they supported just four years earlier. Last time around, Perry County voting came within 0.3 percentage point of the actual outcome of the 2010 governors race, which Republican John Kasich won by 2 points. A day spent talking to voters across this Buckeye bellwether shows they might be split down the middle again this year, despite the recent problems of Democrat Ed FitzGerald. Its about 50 percent Democrat, 50 percent Republican, said Pattie Jo Duffy, 60, a retired township clerk and financial-aid officer from Corning who now delivers flowers part time. But no matter which candidate they prefer, all those who talked with The Dispatch one day last week agreed on an overarching theme: The mostly rural area about 35 miles southeast of Columbus deserves more attention from whoever is running the show in the state capital. It could be John Kasich, Ed FitzGerald or Elmer Fudd I dont care, said Elizabeth Arnold, longtime treasurer of long-struggling Northern Local schools. <br>For the original version including any supplementary images or video, visit >http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2014/08/24/in-perry-county-jobs-top-the-agenda.html/stories/local/2014/08/24/in-perry-county-jobs-top-the-agenda.html]content

They are helpful, generous and kind people, according to their neighbor, Diana Fode, who nominated them for the Journals Good Gardener series. They are just a dream to have in my backyard, she said. IRWIN Tools Launches Phase II Of Impact Performance Series

Were so lucky to get YOLO Winery. I cant believe somebody didnt have that already. Unlike many area wineries that are nestled on backroads and deep into the country, YOLO Winery is in a unique position in a downtown setting, which makes it real convenient for people, Mishler said. If its snowing, people are going to stay in town instead of heading out on those roads there, he added. YOLO Winery is more of a California-style winery, staying away from some common themes found in other area wineries. <br>For the original version including any supplementary images or video, visit http://www.timesreporter.com/article/20140825/NEWS/140829598/1994/NEWS?rssfeed=true

When I was very young and he was tucking me in bed, he turned away for a moment and said he had something in his eye.
